(8.5) Review WII Sports Resort -Inconsistant Controls – Lots of fun anyways!4
Don’t expect to go deep with this game.

Great to get together with the family and play! Inconsistent controls are even then, and everyone can have a blast. Great game if you don’t take it serious or try to play on your own and advance. Its a bit shallow and the controls with frustrate you as your ball flies one foot in front of you or 100 YDs over the hole. It works well enough though to get buy. Having to make an extra purchase to your WII remotes is not cool and doesn’t do anything.

We recommend this as a purchase!

Great Game – Needed More Content4
I really liked this game, I just wish they had added more content. 30+ recipes is a bit deceiving, as they count all the parts of one meal as separate recipes. For instance, pancakes with bacon counts as two recipes and Cheese Quesadillas with Tomato Salsa and Guacamole counts as three. As you can imagine it doesn’t take long to work through all the recipes in the game.

Other than how short it was I had no other complaints and still think it was worth purchasing. The game play is fun and I actually picked up quite a few good tips! I liked that the recipes were real and would actually work in my own kitchen. I recreated the pancakes with nutmeg in real life and they were delicious! Hope they make a sequel – just with way more content.

not enough recipes3
This game would be really fun except it is a rip of. It tricks you to say it has ‘30+ Recipes’, but they count each meal as about 3 or 4 recipes. There is only 12 Meals! what a rip off! But for the gameplay it is fun. I am used to Cooking Mama, but this is ment for an older audience than Cooking Mama. Basically, you pay about 3.50 per meal on this game. Fun but a big waste. I wanted to LOVE this game. Too bad. Could’ve been great, if they included more recipes.

Fun, but needs triple the meals to be worth the money2
As mentioned by others, this game is fun and I like the real-world aspect of the game.

I was looking forward to finishing the first screen of meals and moving on to really complicated things seen on FN like reductions, bread baking… they could have gone really far with this game and made it wonderful.

I felt completely deflated when I realized the one screen of meals was the entire game.

Food Network should offer every product holder a free download on Wii of more meals to protect their good name. I would not buy a FN game again even though it was fun – because of the lame length of the game.

The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology: the Wii Remote controller! Wario stumbles into an old building called the Temple of Form. Inside, he finds a mystical treasure called the Form Baton. There are many ways to hold and move the baton (called “forms”), and legend has it that if the holder follows the forms, he can overcome any challenge. With this discovery, the form craze spreads and soon everybody is doing their best to master the moves. Features: • Revolutionary Fun: With hundreds of microgames, this game is just as wild as you’d expect from the name WarioWare, but the gameplay has been revolutionized. Under Wario’s tutelage and with the help of the Wii Remote, players will swing, spin and squat their way to victory. • Tons and Tons of Microgames: With more than 200 lightning-quick microgames and controls that range from scribbling to flailing, WarioWare: Smooth Moves takes interactive gaming to a whole new level. All players need is confidence, a Wii Remote and their best moves. • Off-Screen Party: With games that are as much fun to play as they are to watch people play, WarioWare: Smooth Moves brings the party to its feet. It’s hilarious for players and audiences alike.

Party fun for kids and adults4
I own a Wii and an Xbox 360. I am coming to the realization that the reason why I have these two consoles is not just because I wanted the exclusively licensed game content for each (such as Zelda on the Wii or Halo on the Xbox), but it’s becoming more and more apparent to me that the Xbox is my single-player console, and the Wii is my multiplayer console. I tend to play immersive first-person single player games that take advantage of the HD graphics and audio power of the Xbox 360, while the Wii is generally used to play multiplayer games, especially when we have friends over.

This game will not disappoint on that front. The action is frantic and hilarious. The microgames consist of dozens (Nintendo claims around 200 in total) of different tasks centered around a number of “forms” or starting positions. For instance, the first form you will encounter is the Remote Control, and you hold the Wiimote just like you’re holding the TV’s remote control. From this position you might be tasked with accomplishing anything from tossing some stir-fry in a saute pan to flipping pancakes, or shooting cans or even bouncing a tennis ball on a racquet. There are forms like “The Handlebars” where you hold the Wiimote crosswise with both hands, or “The Diner” where you hook up the nunchuk attachment and hold the two controllers like a fork and knife.

Pretty much every microgame is timed to last just a few seconds so you have to think – and act! – quickly. The more you play, the better you’ll recognize the challenges, but that doesn’t mean they’re easy! Each type of microgame generally has at least three levels of difficulty, and in addition to getting harder you’ll typically find that either you have less time as you get farther into a series of challenges.

The single-player game is really just about introducing the various forms and unlocking different activities, culminating in unlocking the multiplayer games. You should be able to complete the single-player portion in an hour or two to unlock multiplayer mode.

Multiplayer mode offers additional games (two to start, and playing through each one unlocks another game, which unlocks another, for a total of 7 or 8 multiplayer styles that accommodate anywhere from 2-12 players, depending on the game. This is where what I see as the first real shortcoming of Smooth Moves comes in… you can only use one Wiimote at a time. It seems pointless to force player to pass the Wiimote back and forth (especially since the action is usually happening fairly quickly, and Nintendo insists that you must wear the wrist safety strap, which can make it sometimes difficult to get ready in time for your turn). Allowing the use of up to 4 Wiimotes would be much preferable.

If you are not into the multiplayer experience, then you will definitely want to pass on this game. It’s a fun game to run through, but after a few hours you would be bored out of your mind. This is primarily a party-oriented game for 2-4 players (though as I said, some games allow for up to as many as 12 players taking turns). It’s kind of like the popular card game Uno.. not so much fun for two people, and much better with four – the more people you get playing the more fun it is for everyone. A lot of the games cause you to do crazy things that everyone will be laughing about so it’s not a lot of just sitting around, waiting for your turn.

Amazing Fun for All Ages5
I think the WarioWare games are brilliant. They are short, great fun, perfect for all ages, and incredibly inventive!

If you’ve never played WarioWare games before, you’re in for a treat. These are definitely games that text your reflexes as well as your mental quickness. You are shown a silly situation in kid-like graphics and given only the barest of hints about what to do. You might see a man’s face with beard stubble. You have to figure out that your task is to shave off the stubble before the timer runs out. You get 3 seconds.

Half the fun in this is laughing your fool head off as you try and fail to figure out the key to the puzzle – and then doing it fast enough to win. Each of the puzzles gets more complex as you get deeper into the game. Maybe the first time around you just have to dodge one ball with the marionnette. Then later you have to dodge two, or three. You’ll be busy slashing with your samurai sword, balancing brooms, tracking down hidden people with a flashlight, and much more.

In addition to these games, there are also several mini-games you can unlock. You can play a fascinating breakout style game with a never-ending tower. Try balancing falling tetris-like shapes on a narrow board. There are TONS of profiles here so you can have friends over and let them create their own profiles. Some of the games even involve your Mii characters!

Let’s see, what complaints can I have about this. The graphics are really cheezy – but they’re *meant* to be cheezy. It adds to the cuteness of the game. There’s really no plot. The plot is really that you have to complete a series of mini-games before the timers run out, and then get through a ‘boss’ which may or may not be challenging. Who cares, the games are all fun by themselves.

Add on to this the numerous ways you’re told to hold your controller – like a samurai sword, like a mowhawk on your head, like an elephant trunk on your nose, like a waiter’s plate. The variety is great fun – and the droning, zen-like voice that gives you the description of what to do is hilarious.

Highly, highly recommended for all ages!

Really Silly. Really Fun!5
This is definately a polarizing game (as you can tell reading the reviews). This is the second game I’ve purchased for my Wii, and I think its a blast. Here are some observations:

1. Definately weird. The story lines are zany, the actions are very silly and funny. Yeah, some of the tasks are kind of gross (picking a nose hair, for example), but come on… If this is offensive to you, you really need to get a life.

2. Graphics: I can’t believe people are complaining about the graphics. The game is beautiful. Scenes range from high-end anime to Atari 2600 style block graphics. The graphical depth and complexity is absolutely amazing. I have a feeling the folks complaining don’t “get” art museums.

3. Multiplayer: Can’t comment yet… still working on the single player.

4. Kids: I’m 33, and I love it. We had friends over this weekend, and their 7 and 10 year olds picked up the game right away and had a blast.

5. Music: The music and beat of this game are addictive. Just try to tell me you weren’t dancing along with the cheerleaders.

Overall, I think the game is amazing. If you’re the type who only likes photorealism, and for whom gaming is serious business, I don’t think this is the game for you. If you have an imagination, and aren’t too inhibited to perform some silly moves, give Wario a shot.

My favorite Guitar5
Let me first off say that I bought this wireless Strat because I was hoping that it would work with Rock Band and Guitar Hero. It does not work with Guitar Hero. That being said the guitar seems to be a little more solid than the one that came with the game. A lot of people seem to like the Guitar Hero Les Paul better. However, I really play guitar, and I can honestly say that this one feels more like the real thing. The buttons allow sliding chords, the buttons feel more like frets than buttons, and overall it seems more second nature when playing.

Ultimately, this is a purchase for those who need freedom from the usb hub and 10 foot cable. As for Guitar Hero, well their taking sides has forced me as a consumer to choose sides. I am sticking with Rock Band.

Don’t Buy Yet!1
I owned an original wired Fender Rock Band Guitar. That one works awesome, and I consider it superior to the Gibson Guitar Hero III guitar. However, I just got my wireless guitar, and the tilt sensor does not work. I went to the support website and forums. Apparently many of the first batch of wireless guitars have this problem. Although this is covered under warranty, I will be without the guitar for approximately 21 days while they ship me a box, in which I will ship my broken guitar back to EA. They will then ship a replacement wireless guitar. I would urge caution when buying because of this. Hopefully, EA and Harmonix will rectify this problem and future production batches will have better quality.
**Update**
30 days after sending my guitar in for replacement: EA says all replacements are back-ordered and could take an additional 9 days more from their orginal 3 to 4 week replacement estimate. Buy at your own risk! Other wireless guitar controller issues have been reported on the Rock Band forums as well. I would recommend buying this guitar at a brick and mortar store where you can return it immediately if you have problems. The warranty replacement takes way too long. Some people on the forums even report that their replacement has issues as well. It’s a shame because Rock Band is an awesome game.
**Update 2**
After 35 days EA sent me a wired guitar controller to tide me over until my wireless guitar controller is repaired or replaced. The cool thing is I get to keep the wired guitar even after my wireless one is ready. I didn’t call them and complain either. EA did this without my provoking them.
**Update 3**
After 45 days EA sent me a replacement/refurbished/repaired wireless guitar. The guitar performs as advertised. The tilt sensor works great, as well as all the buttons, etc… I definitely consider it superior to the Red Octane Gibson Les Paul Controller for GHIII, which also works on Rock Band. Downside for this controller is that it does not work on any of the Guitar Hero series of games. One minor complaint for EA: When they shipped my guitar they packed an inordinate amount of silica gel packs with it. Some of these packs leaked small pieces of silica which fell inside the guitar and now make a rattling noise when I move the guitar controller. I’m hoping the wireless controllers out now are of the same quality I received in my replacement controller.

Bad Tilt Sensor2
I should have known better. Many other people have already commented on how poor the tilt sensor works in these things. Mine is a perfect example of this – I have never been able to trigger “star power” by tilting my wireless controller. Aside from that, the controller works well. Very frustrating for this aging wannabe rocker.

Dream Day Wedding Pleased Girlfriend3
Purchased Dreamday for my girlfriend and she was thrilled. But its entertainment value soon declined. She plays it every once in a while when she needs a distraction.

Not as good as Dream Day Wedding/Anniversary set3
I loved the Dream Day game set “Dream Day Wedding/Anniversary”, and thought this would be similiar, but it’s not. Not even close! Some of the puzzles were too confusing, and I was not the only one in my family to give up on them. Scenes were too repetitious, and became boring. Would not recommend…get other Dream Day set.

Fun game overall4
If you have played any of the other Weddding games this one has a bit more challenges. Overall the game is fun, but it is a bit short in duration to get to the end of the game. So, you can play the whole wedding senario in a few days. I wish there was another different wedding after the first one, but you just have to play the first wedding over and over.

Fun update to the original3
The gameplay is very close to Monopoly 2008; but with the updated properties, tokens, chance & community chest cards, and higher dollar amounts. I hook my laptop to the 52″ HDTV and the whole family loves to play.

The only drawback…and worth taking two stars away…is that you have to have the CD-ROM in your computer’s drive at all times while playing the game. Monopoly 2008 can be played without the CD-ROM in the drive. Much better for my laptop since I don’t want to have to carry the Here & Now CD everywhere I go when I want to play.

Great game5
This game will keep you ocupied for hours.Had a little problem at first,in getting the game to come up,but after changing my resolutions it worked fine on my Vista PC. The price was great also…………..

Great game5
I love this game. I play it at least three time a week. If your going to have a MONOPOLY game to play then this is the one.

Features

  • It’s the year 2010, and the most popular game ever is the World, a massive action/RPG game that connects people around the planet. When the newbie named Kite sees his friend Orca killed in the game, he finds Orca is left in a coma in the real world. Kite digs deep into The World to discover the reason why.
  • Join up with a small group of hackers who are fighting to solve the mystery of The World

  • Comes with a 30 minute anime DVD disc which details the events happening in the real world as people react to the video game coma phenomenon, adding true depth to the story.

Decent RPG4
I normally don’t do many reviews, but those posted here about this game so far don’t really do it justice.

Dot Hack is the newest installment of the next generation of RPGs: live-action combat sequences, intricate plots, and complicated gameplay. You take the role of Kite, an eigth grade boy trying to discover why the online game “The World” caused his friend, Orca, to go into a coma. Split between the gaming world and “the real world” (which is represented by Kite’s desktop), Dot Hack allows you to email in-game players, keep up with the news, and follow threads in an expansive message board that probably is the most creative way I’ve ever seen a game present its own instructions. After working your way through Kite’s desktop, you then play Kite’s character in “The World” (think a very big game-within-a-game).

“The World” is not unlike the Everquest style MMORPGs of today. You form groups, you trade with other players, you visit dungeons, you fight monsters, you find special items, and so on. Your parties rotate given who is willing to play and who is not; if you are friendly to your favorite partners, for instance, they will more than likely team up with you when you catch them online. Given that the game is entirely computer-based, this well-done simulation bettered my original expectations.

The game has its weak points, as well. Kite’s character’s class is not chosen, which is frustrating to those (like me) who find some of the other classes far more interesting. Also, the name-generated playing fields have the feel of those old-style random dungeon crawls for the PC. This gets old quick, but the well-done cut scenes and fields that actually advance the story are just enough to keep the game spinning in my Playstation.

Gone are the basic turned-based games with simple storylines; as a longtime veteran of RPGs, I appreciate and welcome this change. The innovative gameplay and absolutely fantastic storyline of Dot Hack (and its anime counterpart) has me looking forward to the rest of the series. Four stars.

Great game but…4
I have played the japanese version of this game and it is indeed very good. The game-in-a-game concept and execution is amazing. The graphics are wonderful and the music isn’t bad either. Playing the game makes your feel like your really playing online in another world. The storyline is interesting, though slightly confusing. The only problem with the game is the completion time. This is the first “episode” in a series of .hack games and as such, the game is very short. It took me 19 hours to beat the game and the ending left me hanging and feeling quite unfulfilled. You should take this into consideration before buying the game at full price. $$$ is a lot of money for a 19 hour game. I suggest renting this game first to see if you like it… of course you’ll probably beat it before for you buy it… ^-^

Problems, Problems4
One of the problems about reviewing this game is that it is hard to decide what it is that you are reviewing. Is it the total concept of game, film, manga, and TV series? Or one fourth of a game? Or any of the above. The reason this is particularly perplexing is that of all of the above, the game it the only thing that falls a bit short of expectations. It isn’t at all bad, just ‘ordinary.’

While formed from the interesting concept of a virtual gaming world gone psychotic, what .hack//Infection really is a dungeon based adventure game comprised of hack-and-slash travels through levels to get treasure. The classic RPG with a bit of a twist, it starts when Kite, a new player, is introduced to ‘The World’ by his friend Orca. On their first outing to a dungeon, Orca is attacked by a mutated monster and permanently loses consciousness. It is up to Kite, and the friends he makes to try to find out what is really going on.

Script is pretty minimal, especially when compared to the story lines of FFX or Suikoden III. Essentially, e-mails or board postings trigger events and supply the code names of playing fields and dungeons. Kite assembles a team of three and goes to each location for information. A fair amount of time is spent leveling up in order to be strong enough to accomplish the next task. To facilitate this, the player can compose his own keywords or even have a playing field generated for him at random. There is room for considerable variation, but the fields aren’t really all that imaginative.

Despite a pretty face, the game engine is dated, and the game interface is a bit inconsistent. The same key doesn’t always to the same thing. And it can take a lot of controller actions to run a real time battle. All in all, the game is entertaining, but not compelling. Character design is excellent though. Hopefully, future parts will extend playing capabilities.

The accompanying film DVD is called .hack//Liminality (volume 1). It is the story of Mai Minase, whose boyfriend is demonstrating ‘The World’ to her when they are attacked. He too loses consciousness for the duration. She meets Junichiro Tokuoka, who seems to have had something to do with the game originally, and is now investigating why people are permanently losing consciousness when they play. I wish I could take more time in this review to discuss this DVD, because it is excellent. An interesting plot, nicely drawn with interesting characters. I can see buying the games just to get the film DVD’s.

Overall, the game is the weakest part of the .hack package. But I don’t want to give the impression that it is bad. It simply doesn’t live up to the overwhelming hype so far. I found it quite playable as a traditional dungeons oriented game. With three more chapters to go this could change in a flash, and I am too curious not to continue. I think you will find this true for yourself as well.

Ac comes with the game…5
the AC adapter comes with the game, although the site did not make that clear…so now I have two…not sure if I can return it….tbd.

It Is What It Is4
This AC Adapter for the Nintendo DS Lite is identical to the one that comes included with the game system.

One nice feature is that the prongs of the plug swivel in and out. This means that, when folded in, the unit is fairly thin and easy to store. It seems well made and sturdy, even with the moving part.

Charging It Up5
I am happy that I do not have to search high and low for a replacement charger. My dog often eats the cord on my chargers. This is the nintendo brand one which is nice. It is only good for the lite. That is kind of sad. At least though there is no pieces to loose. It folds up flat for easy storage. I never worry about the prongs getting damaged.

A Must Have for the Mature Gamer5
Gears of War is a high energy, well detailed sci fi shooter set in a dismal future. You are a muscular, well trained soldier wearing pounds of gear, armor and weapons – and it’ll barely be enough to keep you alive.

This game is compared frequently to Halo, but if Halo is the lighthearted ease of Star Wars, Gears of War is the non-stop assault and clinging to life of Alien. You’re not jumping around like a kangaroo here, blasting at foes. You are heavily laden, crouching behind anything you can find to shield you, trying your best to stay alive for five more minutes. You have to work strategically with your fellow soldiers to climb forward every inch.

The graphics in Gears of War are very impressive. The game is done in a palatte of browns, greys and reds. The dismal skies above, the swarms of black birds, the dented and dingy equipment – this is a world on the verge of despair. Enemies don’t stand out with brightly colored costumes. You have to really pay attention to know where they are and to take them out.

The sounds really help drive home the urgency of your mission. Voices cry out on all sides for help. The hammering of the machine guns and rapid fire weapons ring in your ears. The soundtrack is pounding and epic. If anything this is all TOO pounding – after playing this for weeks, I really can get a headache :) I’d turn it down, but then I wouldn’t be able to tell where the enemies were sniping me from sometimes.

The storyline really helps involve you in what is going on. It’s like being at the center of a high power action movie. There are decisions you can make along the way to help guide the story. I really enjoy the “fight for every inch of soil” way it has you feel like you are involved in a real challenge. It might seem TOO challenging for some new gamers. Stick with it – it’s well worth it.

I do wish, with all of their emphasis on taking cover and being cautious – that you could CROUCH. I understand not being able to jump – you’re wearing hundreds of pounds of gear! However, you can crouch behind cover. Why can’t you crouch when you’re not near cover, to lower your profile a bit? I think that would help out in some situations.

Still, that’s a minor complaint for a fantastic game. If you’re a mature gamer (there’s a fair amount of blood here) that enjoys shooters, definitely pick this one up!

Gears of War is THE Xbox 360 Killer App….5
Let me start with this. Gears of War is the best looking console game ever. Period. End of story. The amount of detail in this game is mind numbing, but more on that later. Lets start

Gears of War is the highly anticipated shooter exclusive to the Xbox 360. You won’t find this game anywhere else. This game has been hyped for years, and now that it has finally been released, most people agree it has actually surpassed the hype.

Gears of War follows the story of the humans battle against the Locust Horde. The Locust Horde have, for some reason, come to planet Sera (home of the humans in this game) to take over. It’s your job to stop them. To do that, you assume the role of COG soldier Marcus Fenix. When you start the campaign mode, you find that the story begins with fellow COG soldiers breaking Marcus out from prison. Marcus did something wrong, but his battle tested skills are somehow needed. From there the story takes off, carrying you through 5 “acts” and 30 chapters. This is just the way the game is broken down.

When you start the campaign mode, you can select from 3 difficulties. Casual, which the game should take you no more than 8-10 hours to complete. Then there is the Hard mode. Hard mode is a challenge, and can easily add 4-5 hours to the game, making the campaign about 12-14 hours long. Finally, we have the mode “Insanity”. Think of Halo’s legendary mode. You may not even be able to do this mode on your own.

Which is why Gears features a co op mode, simialr to Halo. Co op allows you to play through Gears with a friend. You can do this over Xbox Live, through system link, or through split screen. It is most fun over Xbox Live. You simply host a campaign “server” and start playing the game. Somone can join, take the role of a computer controlled soldier, and play alongside you, which can be great fun. If they have to go, when they leave, the computer will automatically assume the role of the soldier again, so it doesn’t ruin the experience. Of course, you can always invite somone on your friends list to come play through campaign with you.

Aside from the excellent campaign mode, Gears features a robust multiplayer mode. Up to 8 players are split into two teams of 4 people. Doesn’t sound like much, but this game is all about cover, flanking, and working with your teammates. The game ships with 10 multiplayer maps: Canals, Clocktower, Escalation, Fuel Depot, Gridlock, Tyro Station, War Machine, Mansion, Mausoleum, and Roof Tops. In multiplayer, there are 3 modes to choose from: Warzone, Assasination, and Execution. Warzone is a standard team deatmact, and like counter strike, once you die, you spectate until the next round. Assasination requires players to kill the other teams “leader”. Finally, Execution requires that in order to kil somone, you must curb stomp them (smash their heads into the ground after wounding them), chainsaw them (a chainsaw is attached to the “lancer” machine gun), or kill them with a torque bow (a bow that fires a rocket the explodes on contact.)

The weapons in Gears are very diverse. The Lancer machine gun is most common, and best of all, it has a chainsaw attached to the end of it. So when you come up close to somone, you can press “B” to rev up the chainsaw, and then go in for the kill. Other weapons include a sniper rifle, pistol, magnum, shotgun, grenade launcher, and of course, the hammer of dawn. The hammer of dawn is a gun requiring you to charge a laser beam. Once charged, the gun calls down a laser beam from an orbital satellite, blasting anything in its path.

The sound, of course, is incredible. The music is amazing, and the gun sounds are some of the best you will hear. Like I said, the graphics are some of the best I have ever seen in my life. The amount of detail is scary. For instance, when you shotgun somone up close, you can see individuals parts fly, such as the jawbone, brain, etc. But the graphics don’t just excel in a gruesome kind of way. Brick walls, water reflections, blades of grass all look so real, you are going to be stunned. Like I said earlier, the BEST graphics you have ever seen.

The Xbox 360 has been waiting for a killer app. This is the one. Halo 3 comes out in Nov 2007, but this game will make you forget all about Halo until then. People will be buying 360’s just to play this game. The game is very voilent, but really, people, this is the MUST OWN game of the year. If you have a 360, you owe it to yourself to play this game. Games like this don’t come around very often. Do yourself a favor, and play this game. It is THAT good.

Gears redefines FPS5
I’m a Halo FREAK. I love Bungie’s masterpiece and will count the days until Halo3 comes out- but Gears of War destroyed my expectations of what a FPS could be like. Gears does things on a level I thought this generation of hardware was incapable of doing! I never would have thought that graphics like this were possible – you simply MUST SEE IT to BELIEVE IT! The high resolution screenshots on the web do NOT do this game justice. And the music is AMAZING to hear in the heat of combat.

And the combat- nothing touches this. Your teeth will be clinched TIGHT the entire time- every bullet is a potential killer and you feel TERRIFIED as the cover you’re behind begins to fall apart while Horde forces are flanking your position!! I can not give this game any higher praise than to say it sets the bar so high, I’m only hoping that Halo3 will be able to touch it!

Game of the Year -no DOUBT in my mind

Great package for a great game5
Gears of War shouldn’t be a stranger to any gamer’s ears at this point. It’s won an absolute truckload of awards and is far and away one of the best shooters available today. It’s really a game that should not be missed.

Enter the 2-Disc edition, which with it’s reduced price and bonus content is perfect for those that didn’t get to jump on board the first time around. A lot of this content is available to download from Xbox LIVE, however as a new purchase its nice to receive all the maps and such already in the box. Also you’ll get the exclusive “Emergence Day” gamer themes and pics that were only available at a limited time during the launch in 2006.

If you’re already a Gears owner, then this is not the package for you, but as someone looking to get in on the action before the fall of Gears of War 2, this is a great package at an awesome value.

fun game. sub-par bonus disc4
As is obvious from all its acclaim, Gears is an excellent game.

All of the bonus content is free online and on xbox live. For those with high-speed internet, I don’t think it is worth getting the 2-disc edition.

A must have title!5
Very cool game, charged with lot of action and good story, this title has to be part of your game collection!

And also get the second part!
